This is how I experienced my Wedding Day

I would like to share the following letter with you that explains what you can expect from Ckell Wedding Photography. If you click on the pitures above you can see Clare's wedding photographs. the arow at the top RHS takes you to the next page of Chris and Clare's Wedding pictures.

I knew choosing a photographer for our wedding was going to be really difficult. Anyone that knows me knows how much I hate having my picture taken and I will really do my best to avoid it at all costs. I was well aware though that I wasn’t going to be able to get out of having my picture taken on my wedding day so choosing the right photographer was going to be a tough task.

We had gone round a lot of the local wedding fayres and had spoken with a number of photographers but no one had felt like the right person. I knew that I needed someone who could and would understand how I felt and as yet we were yet to meet them. It was actually Ken (Colette’s husband) that we met at a wedding fayre, we got talking and he explained how Ckell Wedding Photography works.

He gave to us all of their information and left us to think about it. We looked through all of the information that afternoon and thought Colette’s pictures were absolutely stunning and we emailed her that afternoon wanting to find out more information. Colette and Ken then arranged to come out a couple of weeks later and spent a morning with us talking to us about how they worked and showing us examples of Colette’s work. Colette was incredibly understanding and reassuring when I told her how nervous I was and spent a lot of time explaining that she would only take the minimal amount of formal, posed pictures and the rest would be taken in a very relaxed, natural style so I wouldn’t feel too stressed by it all. We were very happy with all of this and so booked Ckell Wedding Photography for our wedding.

Approximately, 12 months later we met with Colette for a pre wedding photography shoot the photos from which would make up our guest book. Unfortunately, on this day my nerves got the better of me and 5 minutes into the shoot I had to call an abrupt halt to the session and at this point was not sure how I was going to deal with photographs being taken at the wedding at all. I can really never thank Colette enough for being so understanding at that point and let us rearrange at a time to suit us.

We then met up again and it was immediately clear that Colette had put a lot of thought in to how we could get the best photographs but which enabled me to feel absolutely comfortable and indeed at times I almost forget she was there. This worked really well and by the end of the session I was actually quite enjoying myself and it made me feel so much more confident and happier about being photographed for our wedding which by this point was only a few weeks away. The photographs we received from this shoot were just amazing and the guest book that Colette created from them was a lovely memento for our wedding.

On our wedding day, Colette was again just amazing, she took the most beautiful pictures, she appears to have been everywhere as she has captured so many images but was completely unobtrusive. We had the main posed pictures as we had planned and then Chris and I spent approx 20 minutes with her on our own and because we had had the previous session with her, I trusted her implicitly and the photo session flew by. Colette stayed with us right up until our first dance and captured so many special images of our day.

The photographs are all so natural and show us and our guests just enjoying the atmosphere of our day. Colette has the most incredible talent of capturing the moment, our day went so quickly but as soon as we look at the pictures again we are immediately taken back to the day and enveloped in how we were feeling at that very moment.

The albums, DVDs and photo books are absolutely beautiful and are on permanent display now, Colette got them organised very quickly and kept us informed through\out the time that they were being made.

Once again, we really can never thank Colette and Ken enough, they are both the most lovely and kind people that you could ever wish to meet and are so easy to work with and we will always recommend them.
